iDE - Mozambique Tech Center

 

In the summer of '13, I interned at an NGO called iDE in rural Mozambique. My team and I designed a micro-irrigation technology center for local subsistence farmers to learn about and buy iDE's technology. We also scoured local markets to adapt iDE's irrigation tech to local supply limitations (e.g. we learned and documented how to build a treadle pump out of local bamboo - pictured above - and adapted local PVC pipe dimensions to fit other iDE products)
